We were tasked with creating an opening ceremony and also a gala dinner show with a wow aspect.
The opening ceremony followed a more traditional format with visuals and music portraying the narrative of the introduction given to us by the client. This was hosted by Ian McElhinney (Game Of Thrones, Derry Girls, Krypton) with the brass section of the Ulster Orchestra, pianist Ruth McGinley and the Ballyclare male choir performing throughout. We also edited and supplied the visuals for this presentation based on the client brief.
For the final day of the summit, Peter Corry Productions organised a vintage circus inspired theme. The guests were initially greeted at the drinks reception to our ‘living gallery’ of performers in raised areas. This set the scene for the evening to come and gave the guests an opportunity to view the body art and the transformations up close and in person. This provided a great talking point and ice-breaker for delegates at the end of their stay. The ringmaster then appeared to direct everyone to the main event room with a dramatic call to dinner. Once seated there was the piping in of the president of the International Dairy Federation Judith Bryans sealed with a dram of whisky to acknowledge her Scottish origins! Once service was underway we then had some surprise singing from our entertainers posing as guests in the room. This dynamic opening to the evening was followed by awards and between courses entertainment in the form of a stilt dancer and a solo violinist. Proceeding the end of the night this was topped off with a fully staged 20 minute musical production including an aerial artist, athletic dancers, singers and musicians including the violinist and in addition a harpist. During the middle of the show, a choir was dramatically revealed from behind two curtains (kabuki drop) to keep the guests constantly engaged and wondering what would be happening next.
Peter Corry Productions provided the stage provision a high definition video wall alongside two live camera operators running a live feed of the event. This was all supported by the in house technical provision of sound and lights.
“Thanks to PC Productions for the amazing work you did, I have been going to World Dairy Summit’s around the world for 20 years, and without doubt I can think of none better. When the delegates have forgotten the content of the conferences, they will remember both the Opening Ceremony and the Gala Dinner for a long time to come, they were, quite simply, superb.”
