Perform boot camp was borne out of a desire to offer a different type of summer training for young performers.
This course was designed for those at all different stages of their learning, whether joining as a newer performer or those working towards potentially auditioning for a vocational course at a higher level.
By keeping the course sizes small, Performer Boot Camp gave individual attention to those attending to ensure no one got missed out or left behind.
There was an opportunity for one-2-one feedback at the end of the week which was unique to this course. It was important for students to have the time to hear about their own personal strengths and weaknesses and how to build on them, with the emphasis on positive and constructive commentary. Perform Boot Camp ran for 4 years with slightly different offerings each year and ran as weekly summer intensive courses with the exception of the year it put on Cats at the SSE Arena.
Sponsored by SSE Airtricity, Perform Boot Camp staged a huge youth production of Cats bringing together 168 young performers from all around Northern Ireland.
