Peter and his line up of exceptional performers will ring in the Christmas bells with traditional Christmas melodies and festive favourites, such as; ‘White Christmas’, ‘Little Drummer Boy’ and of course, ’12 Days of Christmas’, to name but a few.
2023 Performing Acts
While there may be some much loved, familiar faces, we promise to always bring something new each year – after all, what is Christmas without a few surprises!
Flying home for Christmas (via broomstick or plane) Wicked and Come From Away star, Rachel Tucker, soars into this year’s line up of Christmas at the Cathedral.
With a wealth of experience on stage, both on Broadway and in London’s West End, Rachel comes home this year to share her love for all things Christmas and some of her favourite traditions.
Originally from Belfast, Peter has performed throughout the World over the last 30 years with his unique voice and with his passionate and personal style always to the fore.
It is a career which includes not only singing but also acting, presenting, producing and directing.
Northern Ireland Young Musician of the Year 2023 winner, Evie Mills, joins us as guest performer for 2023.
A current scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Music, studying cello performance with Felix Schmidt, Evie has performed across the UK and Ireland with Ulster Youth Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and the City of Belfast Youth Orchestra, where she was Principal Cellist.

THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS SETTING at
ST ANNE’S CATHEDRAL
St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast always sets the perfect stage for our magical Christmas concert. As you step into the Cathedral, you’ll be immersed in a festive atmosphere that captures the true spirit of Christmas.
With its breathtaking Gothic architecture, awe-inspiring beauty and unrivalled acoustics, we promise to captivate audiences with classic Christmas melodies and heartwarming lyrics, creating lasting memories for all those who attend.
TIPS FOR OUR GUESTS
As the building stands at over 100 years old, we have a few tips for audience members to help make your experience as comfortable possible:
- To preserve the atmosphere and aesthetic of the venue, we use the Cathedral’s wooden chairs.
We recommend bringing along a small cushion for these, particularly those who experience discomfort in their lower back. Unfortunately there are no cushions available from The Cathedral.
- The Cathedral is lit by overhead heaters which we switch on pre-show, at the interval and for various other sections of the show. Due to some lighting states we are required to turn the heaters off which may see a drop in the temperature in the Cathedral. For this reason we recommend wrapping up warm, bringing a few extra layers and even a blanket (a hot water bottle if you want to be really snug!). We will have teas, coffees and mulled wine before the show and at the interval to also help keep warm.
- There is an accessibility ramp on the left hand side of the audience; we recommend for wheelchair users and those with additional mobility needs to get in touch with us prior to booking your tickets so we can advise on the best seating to have access to these.
