In 2023, Peter was awarded an MBE for his services to music and entertainment in Northern Ireland.
“It is a tremendous honour to be recognised for my work in the entertainment industry, and it is a career that I have truly loved these last 30 years and one that I look forward to enjoying for many years to come.
I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout my career and to those who have nominated me for this prestigious award.
INTRODUCTION
A LIFE ON STAGE
Originally from Belfast, Peter has recently celebrated 30 years in the entertainment and music industry; a career which includes not only singing but also producing, directing, acting and presenting.
As a result of his combined endeavours, Peter’s career and contribution to music and the arts has been acknowledged with the award of an MBE.
Making his professional debut in 1993, Peter’s performing career has allowed him to entertain audiences across the world, with highlights including Javert in Les Miserables, Sweeney in Sweeney Todd and Fagin in Oliver!, with a standout being singing at the funeral of footballer George Best, a performance which he received huge public acclaim for.

A DIVERSE CAREER
PERFORMING, PRODUCING, DIRECTING & Mentoring
As a producer and director, among many career highlights, he has staged what was at the time the largest production of “Les Miserables in Concert” at the SSE Arena with over 1000 performers including an international leading cast from Europe, USA and Asia.
His hosting credits include “The Peter Corry Show” with BBC 1 Northern Ireland and presenting several radio series for BBC Radio Ulster and to date, Peter has recorded 12 albums.
This diverse career has given him an unparalleled insight into what an audience wants, coming to the fore when staging an event either for a corporate audience, a theatre production or an immersive experience.

Peter and his line up of exceptional performers will ring in the Christmas bells with traditional Christmas melodies and festive favourites.
BIG NEWS: We’re excited to announce that the Cathedral has recently purchased 500 brand new seats which will be in place for this years show. There are 200 cushioned seats making up Tier 1 and new comfortable wooden seats across Tier 2.
Peter was asked to do a TED X talk on the life changing qualities of music.
NURTURING LOCAL TALENT
CHAMPIONING the ARTS
A Belfast Boy at heart, Peter has always been proud of his roots and has remained a champion for the arts in Northern Ireland. In 2023, Peter presented a TED X talk at Parliament Buildings, Belfast on the power of music in our lives, (watch Peter Corry’s TED X talk) and in 2020 was a prominent voice in championing the arts and entertainment industry to the Department for Communities to address difficulties the sector was facing throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Passionate about providing pathways into the creative sector and encouraging young people to perform, Peter has been producing and creating projects for young people across Northern Ireland to get involved in Musical Theatre since 2002. In 2016 Peter was appointed the Artistic Director of The Belfast School of Performing Arts (BSPA), Northern Ireland’s largest theatre school for young people, with over 800 pupils. With limited pathways for professional training in Northern Ireland, Peter has supported numerous young people in achieving their dream of performing professionally.
