Peter’s MBE surprise

2023 has been an exciting year for Peter Corry Productions. We have transported custom made events and experiences all across the Island of Ireland; from our Thank You for the Musicals Tour touring to venues across Northern Ireland, bespoke corporate performances in The K Club (Kildare) and Gleneagle (Killarney) and even a 2 day event up in the North Coast of Antrim. We were delighted to have created employment opportunities for a multitude of artists and creatives (57 freelancers in the month of April alone!) all while entertaining audiences and delivering on our clients high expectations from their corporate event.

Between bouncing the Easter Bunny throughout Victoria Square for Easter Brunches and unleashing a Latin Dance Champion at the new AC Marriott’s river terrace, we have been busy – below are just some of the highlights of the last 6 months for Peter Corry Productions.

Peter’s MBE announcement has come as a wonderful surprise and a great honour.

Peter Corry Performing on stage

“I am truly humbled and absolutely thrilled to receive the MBE. It is a tremendous honour to be recognised for my work in the entertainment industry, and it is a career that I have truly loved these last 30 years and one that I look forward to enjoying for many years to come.

thank you for the musicals

Bringing the magic of the musicals to ni stages

After a busy and successful December, we took January to reflect on the year past while looking to the year ahead.

With our sell out Thank You for the Musicals tour kicking off in February, we crafted our setlist, gathered our 6 fabulously talented singers and staged and rehearsed our two act concert. As this concert series was to celebrate Peter’s 30th year in the entertainment industry, we wanted to ensure the material recognised key moments within his career while giving a nod of thanks to the wonderful audiences who have supported him throughout this time. The production included music from hit musicals like Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, Moulin Rouge! and Come From Away.

In February we had the pleasure of bringing ‘Thank You for the Musicals’ to venues across Northern Ireland, including Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen, Island Arts Centre, Lisburn, Theatre at the Mill, Antrim and Marketplace Theatre and Arts Centre, Armagh. We concluded the tour in March with 2 shows in Belfast’s very own St Anne’s Cathedral. Peter was delighted to have had the chance to tour across all these venues that hold happy memories from the last 30 years.

Thank you to the audiences who attended and shared in this celebration!

bushmills

bushmills distillery opening

We were delighted to have worked with a new client on an exciting 2 day event celebrating the launch of their new distillery. As a beloved local brand with a significant global presence, we were excited to work with delivery partners in creating an evening of entertainment that reflected the brand’s high quality and key values, all while celebrating the positive impact they had on the local area.

The event truly was a spectacle that encompassed all the values that Bushmills herald as important to their organisation and customers. With their brand narrative at the heart of the process, we brought together a diverse team of creatives to curate every aspect of the entertainment to the highest level. Music was composed especially, script written, dancers choreographed and an overall aesthetic designed for costuming, hair and make up to compliment the history and the aesthetic of the still house surroundings.  We provided a large cast of performers including; vocalists, Irish dancers, traditional musicians, drummers, actors and the master of ceremonies, who all worked together to tell the 400+ year story of the brand that infused traditional elements in a fresh and contemporary style.

This is just one example of our commitment to delivering high quality bespoke event entertainment  to our clients that is entertaining yet authentic to their brand. If you wish to find out more about what services we can offer to your upcoming event – Click Here

Northern lights

celebrating our country for companies across NI

We were happy to supply entertainment to both new and previous clients throughout February, March and April.

We continue to work with Apex Housing Association in delivering a bespoke concert ‘Northern Lights’ to groups and individuals who avail of their services. ‘Northern Lights’ brings together a wide range of performers to celebrate the music, dance and stories that are unique to Northern Ireland.

The production is hosted by Game of Thrones and Derry Girls actor Ian McElhinney.

This was the third performance we have provided in the partnership, tailoring the programme and staging each time to complement each venue we have had the opportunity to perform in. It is always exciting to work with Apex and their partners and work on this show to ensure it continues to tell the empowering tale of art and creation unique to this corner of the World.

Northern Lights has also taken place in September 2023, this time at the Waterfront Hall, to a private invited audience for a corporate event.

Did you know we offer our entertainment packages to go?

We continued our cross island tour with a performance of our ‘Speakeasy’ at the K Club Kildare. Our Gatsby inspired show entertained guests at the Maxol Excellence awards with a multi-talented cohort of performers. Amongst the cast were vocalists, dancers (including tap dancing), a saxophonist and a burlesque act bringing the vintage glamour of the 1920’s with a modern energy.

The cast dazzled guests with a roof-raising performance, later returning in the evening to fizz the audience up for a long night of dancing ahead. With guests wowed, our Speakeasy left the client delighted with the professionalism and talent of our artists.

We also provided a cabaret-style dinner theatre programme to a private event at the Gleneagles. This show entertained guests all evening long with a set list that intertwined the courses of the evening and featured a mix of much loved Musical Theatre classics that received a much deserved standing ovation!
